Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz and James Mason are all cast to type in this jolly romantic comedy. The first two portray a bickering sitcom-style husband and wife, and the third plays a guardian angel who tells Lucy to go with chemist Desi on an insecticide-testing trip. This advice proves more comedic than angelic when Lucy mistakes the meaning of the word trip as she takes to the woods. The script's a shade mechanical and you can see some of the effort in the performances, but the results are amusing if not hilarious. And few people wouldn't say: 'I love Lucy'.
