Vivid, lifelike account of the fighting men on a jet aircraft carrier during the Korean War. Van Johnson and Dewey Martin do particularly good work in the 'blind pilot' sequence, but it's Frank Lovejoy who steals the show as the commander who, Dam Busters-style, urges low-level bombing to achieve his forces' objectives. Brilliant mixing by editor Gene Ruggiero of colour newsreel air footage with re-enacted action.
