Enjoyable, likeable and breezily performed, this lightweight Warners musical, unseen for decades until TV picked it up a couple of years ago, hardly stretches the talents of Doris Day, Jack Carson, Eve Arden and Adolphe Menjou, not to mention those of Bugs Bunny and Tweetie Pie who appear with Doris in the film's most delightful sequence. The studio were in such a hurry to rush Day and Carson into another film after their surprise success in It's Magic that they neglected to provide much of a plot: Carson's a radio scout looking for talent and Doris is it. Lots of good songs, though, bright Technicolor and expert direction by Michael Curtiz; Friz Freleng did the cartoon sequences.
