One more time for the caper thriller about the robbery of the impregnable bank. There's little novelty here and the only twist is that the gang is led by a woman, fresh out of prison and blackmailed into the job by the kidnap of her son. Kim Basinger is pretty good in the role and she's about all the dullish film has going for it. Val Kilmer is not much of anything as the guy who helps her double-cross the raiders, and Terence Stamp attempts an American accent as the gang boss that just doesn't pass muster by today's high standards. Even the robbery itself is pretty routine: there are one or two tense moments, but not enough to keep the eyelids from drooping before the end.
