In everyday life, one meets many folk who are as brave as the next man, but who admit to a horror of being trapped in a lift. This made-for-TV suspense drama is centred on such a situation - 30 storeys up. And, just for good measure, it has an exceptional cast of stars and guest stars. James Farentino and Don Stroud play thieves who commit murder, and Carol Lynley is their accomplice. Roddy McDowall's role is as a building manager, Myrna Loy plays a lonely and imaginative woman. Cast as a doctor is Craig Stevens, with Teresa Wright as his wife, and Arlene Golonka his chief nurse, with whom he is having an affair. Claustrophobia and panic on the part of some of the passengers lead to further damage to the lift mechanism. It's tense stuff, played to the hilt.
