Lubitsch-like racy romantic drama, directed by William Dieterle, about the adventures of an amorous burglar, played with a feather-light touch by William Powell. As with many Warners films of the period, the pace is breathtaking, though the lushness of the settings seems to owe more to another studio, Paramount.
