A wartime espionage yarn, with one-time Aldwych farceur Tom Walls successfully cast against type as a villain. James Mason and David Farrar, who play naval commanders, were very much on the up-and-up in the British cinema at the time. Later both went to Hollywood. Others in the cast include harmonica player Ronald Chesney; radio comedienne Jeanne de Casalis; and master music-hall comedian George Robey as a pawnbroker.
