A pleasantly entertaining if pallid musical, Doris Day's last, about the rivalry between two circuses. The numbers are attractively staged, as one would expect with a combination of director Charles Walters and second-unit director Busby Berkeley. Between them, they have made some of Hollywood's most invigorating musical entertainments. Nice, too, to see old-timers Martha Raye and Jimmy Durante in action again, even if one wishes the script gave them more in which to sink their teeth.
