James Stewart stars as a former GI called Steve Martin in this action-filled, ahead-of-its-time story of deep-sea oil riggers drilling for oil offshore in Louisiana and getting into trouble with local shrimp fishermen who're afraid of a threat to their way of life. A thundering good adventure movie, in which the action just never stops: there's a hurricane, a killing, a near-lynching and plenty of fights. It was premiered in widescreen by cheeky cuttiing the top and bottom of the image.
