A slick, witty and immensely charming Billy Wilder comedy, set among the Long Island homes of some of America's wealthiest families.
Audrey Hepburn, in a Cinderella-type role, is at her most impish and even William Holden seems more relaxed and dashing than usual.
But the hit of the show is undoubtedly Humphrey Bogart as Holden's grumpy older brother who tries to arrange a marriage for him.
The kind of film where you know what's coming but, because of the treatment, enjoy it all the same. Slightly superior to the (very similar) 1995 remake with Harrison Ford.
