Alfred Hitchcock's thriller of wartime sabotage begins and ends memorably, with the factory fire and the Statue of Liberty scenes. The trek in between, as hero Robert Cummings flees from the web of circumstantial evidence threatening to entrap him, is tense, pacy and enjoyable. Cummings is lightweight but fine, Priscilla Lane is a personable heroine and Hitchcock touches constantly boost the suspense.
