Three stylish horror essays based on stories by Edgar Allan Poe.
The first, Morella, is made with particular flair, and Floyd Crosby's Pathecolor photography is masterly throughout.
Roger Corman directs with zest. Vincent Price appears in all three tales, the other two of which are The Black Cat - a rich association with Peter Lorre which was continued into The Raven and The Comedy of Terrors - and The Case of M Valdemar.
