More than any other, this musical set Doris Day up for her run of success at Warners in the Fifties. It's a bright, lively and tuneful version of No, No, Nanette (previously filmed with Anna Neagle in 1940) in which Doris, as the girl who has to say 'No' to everything for 24 hours, danced on screen for the first time. She also duetted so well with Gordon MacRae on the title number that they made four further films together. Other songs include Crazy Rhythm, I Only Have Eyes for You and I Want to Be Happy.
