One of Hollywood's wartime all-star musical revues whose slim plot never gets in the way of the film's real raison d'ĂȘtre - a marvellous parade of Warner Brothers stars doing unlikely things very well indeed. Errol Flynn performs a spritely song-and-dance number in a somewhat unlikely London pub, John Garfield sings Blues in the Night, and Olivia de Havilland, Ida Lupino and George Tobias turn up as an mismatched vocal trio. But the highlight of the whole show is unquestionably Bette Davis' rendition of the Oscar-nominated They're Either Too Young or Too Old, partnered by jitterbug expert Conrad Weidel.
