Although it may depend on your sense of humour, I nearly fell out of my cinema seat laughing at parts of this manic comedy of the misadventures that befall various people in the famous New York blackout of 1965. Doris Day guys her own image and displays superb comic timing, especially in a drunk scene. Terry-Thomas and Robert Morse have some splendidly lunatic moments, but no one tops veteran vaudeville comic Ben Blue as a man continually trying to finish a shave.
