Biting comedy about an ageing actress fighting against both Old Father Time, and competition from a young and peppy actress. As the youngster, 20-year-old Pat Crowley offers a sparkling performance in her first film role. Ginger Rogers gives an observant, beautifully-calculated portrayal of the doyenne star, and all concerned revel in the acidly witty script by Oscar-winning writers Julius J and Philip G Epstein.
