This contrived romantic drama is made rather endearing by the performances of Bette Davis and Ian Hunter as two people from different ends of the social scale who go on a drunken binge together to drown his sorrows and wind up married. Lively direction by Alfred E Green gets the whole thing to flash by in little more than an hour.
