This espionage thriller must have seemed an attractively downbeat drama during its conception although, as it turns out, the screenplay gives it very little character. Oliver Reed plays an ex-CIA agent who defected to Moscow, and is now lured to Israel where he is the target for both CIA and KGB killers. The stunt driving is by Remy Julienne, so effective on The Italian Job, although here the object seems only to be for the cars to knock down as many unnecessary obstacles as possible.
