With a script by Columbo creators Richard Levinson and William Link and an excellent performance by foxy guest star Robert Culp, this is definitely the best-ever case for the rumpled detective, played with laid-back charm, as ever, by Peter Falk. Thanks are also due in no small part to the excellent, assured direction by Bernard L Kowalski. A no-frills, top-notch game of cat and mouse.
