Jack Smight's downbeat amnesiac thriller stars the then married George Peppard and Elizabeth Ashley, who share both the script's clichés and the hunt for Peppard's memory. One of the chief assets of this movie, which also features the great Herbert Marshall's last role, is the fine, clear Technicolor photography by master cameraman Robert Surtees. Familiar faces in support include those of Roddy McDowall, Arthur O'Connell, Charles Drake, Mona Washbourne and Robert Webber - and you may also spot, in a small role, Sally Kellerman, the highly individual blonde who subsequently found brief stardom as 'Hot Lips' in the movie version of M*A*S*H.
