As tear-jerkers about cancer go, this one's not bad - mainly thanks to strong performances from Lauren Holly and Faye Dunaway as cheery and grumpy hospital patients respectively. While Dunaway is pursued by old flame Tom Skerritt, a surly member of staff (newcomer Ian Somerhalder) gradually takes an interest in Holly. No great surprises, but it's sweet and subtle enough to stand out from the crowd.

What I enjoyed the most about Changing Hearts was its ability to make you genuinely laugh; the next moment, you're shedding a tear. This is a very touching and warm film, a feel good movie. Lauren Holly is wonderful in her portrayal of a cancer patient who decides to fall in love, regardless of her ultimate battle with death. Faye Dunaway gives one of her best performances in years. Big heart here! Reminded me of Terms Of Endearment.
