James Brolin takes the lead in this TV movie as Dave, a single-parent, a detective assigned to check out a murder - that of a sailor's girlfriend. His teenage daughter accompanies him on the trip to a remote Arizona community with its own laws, where the vast majority of dwellers are polygamous. Everyone questioned seems to know something, but it's up to Dave to clear up the mess and patch things up with his offspring. It's certainly different by murder mystery standards, but not necessarily always greatly absorbing.
