Stanley's Gig

A modest but moving drama about a ukulele player (William Sanderson) who befriends an unhappy woman (Marla Gibbs) in the nursing home where he works as a volunteer. It turns out she used to be a jazz singer, so he tries to boost her spirits by getting her back on stage. Faye Dunaway and Stephen Tobolowsky complete the strong central cast.
