Like the other animated prehistoric adventure sequels in this series, this tenth outing for cute young 'longneck' dinosaur Littlefoot is a far cry from the dark tone of the first.
It's a lively, if flatly-animated adventure with songs, which sees orphaned Littlefoot and his grandparents leaving the Great Valley for the unknown, after the longnecks all have the same series of 'sleep stories' (dreams) about the 'great circle' (sun) falling.
The main thrust of this one is that Littlefoot finally meets his long-lost father (voiced by Kiefer Sutherland).
New characters, as well as Sutherland's, include a grizzled old dino voiced by James Garner. As always, it's a little preachy in its morals, but pre-schoolers should love it.
