Indie Close-Up January

Feel the need to quench your film thirst? You'll love our Indie Close-Up this month - a half hour show dedicated to all fans and followers of independent cinema.

Bursting with fabulous facts, shimmering stars and rocking reviews, see Close-Up for your monthly movie fix.



This January the Close-Up team invaded the set of Brit flick 3 and Out - A comedy about ordinary people with unique dilemmas. Lust Caution The movie stars Mackenzie Crooke and Imelda Staunton - watch Close-Up to witness an ordinary day at the office for our home-grown stars.

As well as this exciting set visit, we take a look at three hot new Indie cinema releases:

  • 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days . Nominated for a Golden Globe, this is a disturbing thriller about a woman who assists her friend to arrange an illegal abortion in 1980's Romania. The Close-Up team chat to the film's star, Anamaria Marinca.
  • In the Valley of Elah - watch close-up for a candid interview with director Paul Haggis.
  • Lust, Caution - movie icon Ang Lee talks to the Close-Up team about his espionage thriller set in WW2 Shanghai.
    And finally we preview a season on Sky Movies Indie celebrating iconic French director Francois Truffaut .
