Matrix Trailer Is Net First
We know what the Matrix is, but why is it taking two days to download?In an internet first, Warner Brothers have posted the the final theatrical trailer for The Matrix Reloaded in the highest quality ever seen on the Net.
The trailer is at a screen resolution of 1000x540 pixels and runs at 24 frames a second.

But like all quantum leaps in technology, it comes at a price. The Quicktime file weighs in at almost 100MBs. Even with broadband it can take a long time to download and older computers will struggle to play it at anything like reasonable quality.
As a benchmark, my 800MHZ PowerMac that normally eats high quality trailers for breakfast couldn't quite keep the sound in sync and we've yet to find a PC here in the skymovies office that can even begin to handle it.
