Burns Weds Christy
Model really is the one for actor EdOn-again off-again lovebirds Ed Burns and Christy Turlington finally made it to the altar over the weekend.
Originally intended to marry in 2001, the couple finally tied the knot in San Francisco in front of family and friends, including Sting and Vin Diesel.
U2 singer Bono reportedly gave the bride away filling in for the model's late father who died two years ago, as well as singing at the ceremony.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Catholic ceremony took place at the Saints Peter and Paul's Church in North Beach where the bride wore a stunning Galliano gown, followed by a reception at the Asian Art Museum.
The couple, who met three years ago at a Hamptons charity event, first announced their engagement within six months of dating.
Burns and Turlington were then supposed to tie the knot in Europe in October 2001 but postponed the nuptials in the wake of September 11.There is no word on where the newlyweds will honeymoon.
Burns recently starred in the Confidence opposite Rachel Weisz and Dustin Hoffman and just completed shooting on A Sound of Thunder, a time-travelling thriller due out in 2004.
