Dudley Sutton
Born: 6 April 1933
Where: Surrey, England, UK
Sutton's face will be instantly recognisable to Lovejoy fans, as he played Tinker Dill in the long running TV series, starring Ian McShane.
But although his lengthy career has included a great deal of television work, he is by no means a one trick pony.
His film credits include the critically acclaimed Song For A Raggy Boy (2004), in which he plays a sympathetic Brother in an Irish reformatory school.
His past work also includes Michael Winner's the Big Sleep (1978), Fellini's Casanova (1976) with Donald Sutherland, Ken Russell's The Rainbow (1989) and more recently This Filthy Earth (2001).
Lovejoy aside, his TV work also includes a couple of Dickens' adaptations; David Copperfield (2000) and Great Expectations (1976).
An all rounder, Sutton has also worked extensively on stage, including the West End and Broadway.
