A sober, soundly-cast account of the traumatic times of Buzz Aldrin, the Apollo astronaut, following his return from the historic moon mission in 1969. Partly shot at NASA in Houston, Texas, this telefilm has eye-dazzling footage of the moon flights from NASA itself, plus a touching performance from Oscar-winner Cliff Robertson as the stalwart astronaut who is bewildered when his strength and his reasoning powers suddenly begin to abandon him. A film that scores through its inherent honesty and simple directness.
