Strong stars - Gary Oldman and Joely Richardson - boost this David Hare drama about a country girl becoming involved with crooks in post-war London. As Hare devotees will guess, it isn't quite as straightforward as that. More watchable than most of his work, it has great camerawork and a nice post-war feel.
