A plain, no-nonsense title for this rather pretentious adult comedy from director/screenwriter John Hughes, creator of the much better Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Home Alone.
Kevin Bacon is energetic and enthusiastic as Jake Briggs, the restless young man newly married to his teenage sweetheart Kristy (Elizabeth McGovern). McGovern is convincingly dull as Jake's devoted ball and chain.
It's told from his point of view - the anxieties he suffers at the dread of being caught in the trappings of middle class success. But this comedy is very uneven and although there are lighter moments, you could well end up wondering what on earth the producers thought there was to laugh at in the first place.
