Jeannie Berlin, the daughter of screenwriter-director (and sometime actress) Elaine May (`A New Leaf', `Ishtar'), stars in this comedy about the Big Apple adventures of a Jewish American Princess from the suburbs. Roy Scheider plays the smooth doctor with whom she falls in love. Adapted from the comic novel by Gail Parent.
