Specialist policeman Tom Selleck is the man they call when there's a rogue robot on the loose in this well-made and exciting sci-fi thriller. A criminal genius is reprogramming robots to use for his own illegal ends and it's Selleck and his new partner Cynthia Rhodes' job to catch him. Despite the sci-fi theme, the film keeps its feet firmly on the ground, making it completely believable. Look out for a pre-Cheers Kirstie Alley in a support role, and the baddie is played by Gene Simmons, formerly the lead singer of outrageous rock band Kiss.
