A strange, neutral account of a murder - a high school student kills his girlfriend; his (and her) friends cover up the crime to the bemusement of parents and police alike. The film is directed by Tim Hunter who wrote about another 'motiveless' teenage homicide in 'Over the Edge' and features strong performances from Crispin Glover as the would-be charismatic gang-leader and Dennis Hopper as an ageing hippie drug-dealer.
