Cloris Leachman completely dominates this drama about a mother who becomes obsessed with bringing the man who raped her daughter to justice. Battling against bureaucracy and the slow-moving legal system, she finally gets her day in court... Leachman quite overshadows Season Hubley, as the raped daughter, which puts the perspective of the tale a little out of focus: her in-your-face performance isn't the most persuasive way of making us look at the way rape victims are treated. This fact-based drama is certainly powerful, though, perhaps sometimes a little too powerful...
