Whether or not you like Alan Rudolph's films ('Choose Me','Love at Large', 'Made in Heaven', 'Mortal Thoughts') you have to admit they're different from the run-of-the-mill. This ecological thriller would benefit from a stronger leading man than Robert Urich, but the rest of the cast (JoBeth Williams, Hoyt Axton, Paul Dooley, Peter Coyote) is solid, and the suspense builds nicely as noses dangerously close to the whiff of a conspiracy by unscrupulous businessmen and shady politicians.
