You've heard of yuppies - now meet a yummy. It stands for young, uncommitted mobile man, in this case Mark Harmon who, in the title role as Robin Prince, a 'pool service consultant', flits from pool to pool and bed to bed with California's rich and famous. He's the king of meaningless relationships and, though, his come-uppance is assured, the film ignores social issues in favour of superficiality - a pity since some of the cast, notably Kirstie Alley, Robert Vaughn and the excellent Sherry Hursey as a waitress, are patently capable of more depth. Filmed on sun-drenched Southern California locations that might lead you to envy Prince's lifestyle with all its drawbacks.
