This made-for-cable TV thriller about the obscene on-off execution of a convicted killer who wants a disillusioned photographer to capture his death on film, is a blistering affair topped by two powerhouse performances from Roy Scheider and Arliss Howard. The top-notch cast also features Bonnie Bedelia (from the Die Hard films and Harrison Ford's wife in Presumed Innocent) as the murder victim's widow and snapper Scheider's love interest. A strong subject delt with in an adult way, which rules it out as perhaps too intense for children.
