The old Vigilante v The Mob storyline is a bit of an old chestnut, but don't let that put you off this intelligent and exciting TV movie. Anthony LaPaglia plays the nutcase who is going around bumping off the top men in Chicago's branch of the Mafia. He's encouraged by columnist Frank Nordhall (Peter Coyote), who gleefully records each new hit. It's down to cop James Dela (Louis Gossett Jr) to track down the killer. Director Bobby Roth gets the most out of a feisty script - writer Gerald DiPego based the screenplay on his own book - and that, plus a strong cast, makes this a thriller well worth watching.
