Set aboard a cruise liner, this steamy and totally trashy erotic drama centres on a young British couple (Hugh Grant and Kristin Scott Thomas) who are befriended by the mysterious, disabled Peter Coyote and his sultry girlfriend Emmanuelle Seigner. Their friendship turns to sex games when the truth about Coyote's disability comes to light. With Grant and Scott Thomas far from their best, this seemingly endless voyage into perversion and banality must be director Roman Polanski's worst film.
