In the United States, this was one of the most acclaimed TV movies of 1975. The film is fiction, but at the same time it is reminiscent of the real-life Patty Hearst affair. There is a good part for Sissy Spacek who gives an impressive performance as a spoiled socialite who becomes first a political activist, then a terrorist. Equally memorable is Art Carney's performance as her father. Other important roles go to Hollywood stalwart Jane Wyatt as her mother, Henry Winkler (tackling a much more serious role than in his Happy Days series) as her lover, and Julie Kavner as her room-mate.
