The title of this mystery thriller is a bit misleading (its American title Psycho-Circus even more so), as it's a mystery thriller rather than a horror film. Of course, having such stars as Christopher Lee and Klaus Kinski only adds to the confusion. After a robbery, the stolen money is found at a circus, together with the body of one of the thieves. A Scotland Yard detective (Leo Genn) is sent to unravel the mystery. The plot is pretty confusing in places and tends to lose its way amidst all the complications. Luckily, both Lee, as a scarred lion tamer, and Genn are very good and their acting is the cement that holds the whole thing together.
