The massively popular TV series of the mid-Sixties explodes into a big-screen adventure, with Harrison Ford every bit as doggedly glum and elusive as David Janssen was in the original.
Arriving home to find himself battling a one-armed intruder who has shot and killed his wife, Dr Richard Kimble (Ford) is soon convicted of her murder. Escaping, Kimble continues to evade pursuing police and trace the real killer.
Ford - who never saw the TV series - is great, but dynamic Tommy Lee Jones, as the deputy marshal on Ford's trail, nearly steals the film - and won an Oscar.
Fully deserving its Best Film Oscar nomination, this is thundering action thriller stuff. Incidentally, a real train was used for the crash, so the technical guys had just one chance to get it right!
