Formulaic TV movie with a cast of second division actors which easily could have been subtitled Death Can Be Fatal. The hero of the piece is reporter Jack Lynch (played by that household name Clayton Rohner) who foolishly discovers that the perpetrator of a two-year-old murder is not only a cop, but a bent one to boot. Throw in a femme fatale, a drugs syndicate and our intrepid scoop becomes about as popular as rabies in a dogs' home. As dire as it sounds, the piece does have its brooding moments and makes a fair stab at doffing a cap to the film noir genre.
