Three very good actors head this convincing psychological thriller about a man and wife who fail to report a hit-and-run accident while on holiday in Mexico. The suspense mounts upon their return, when they are visited by a stranger claiming to know everything. Rutger Hauer plays the unwelcome visitor, while Ron Silver and Rebecca DeMornay (an unlikely romantic alliance if ever there were one) play the frightened couple. This tough-toned made-for-cable movie is directed with tantalising menace by the experienced Geoff Murphy.
