This TV movie is in the tried and tested problem-of-the-week tradition. The script here concentrates too much on the illness and pads out the story excessively. But Michael Nouri presents a good portrayal of Charlie Wedemeyer, a 30-year-old football coach in California, battling against Motor Neurone Disease (known in the US as ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease). Peter Berg and Stephen Dorff, whose careers have since both made strides, can be spotted in supporting roles.
