Based on the TV animation series, this is a cartoon film noir, set in the Forties but full of Nineties' sarcasm. There's a stylish look to all this and, although youngsters may be confused by the complicated storyline, adults will lap it up. Some distinguished voices are used over the action and if you think the Joker sounds familiar - his voice is supplied by Star Wars' Mark Hamill.
