This cheesy, sleazy sex drama gained an immediate reputation as the most trashy, bottom-of-the-barrel kind of offering cinema could muster. But, as a warts-and-all, tears-behind-the-glitz Las Vegas soap opera, it hits its tacky target spot-on. Gina Gershon is splendid as a hardened older showgirl and Elizabeth Berkley has just the right kind of brittle appeal as an ambitious dancer, Nomi Malone, who hitches to Vegas and becomes a stripper and lap dancer at the Cheetah Club. Outrageously entertaining.
