It's hard to know where a film like this is heading if it isn't going to be serious. The treatment veers between an early serial and a Batman TV programme (with some naked titillation thrown in) and all of the action, from the 'crimes' that get our trio of heroines slung in the slammer to the inept attempts to bump off an innocent girl in prison, is quite ludicrous. Violence is used purposelessly throughout and with no conviction, undercutting any hope of credibility for which the actors might strive. Missy Crider, Bahni Turpin and Ione Skye are in any case not exactly Cagney, Bogart and Raft, and Crider's singing (supposedly her strongpoint) is hardly better than her acting. A prison stretch would tax your stamina more severely, but only just.
