Talk Radio meets Fright Night. A spooky radio siren called Night Owl seems to be luring men to their deaths through a chat show which the network denies airing... It's a novel premise, but ironically it's the marital merry-go-round between stars Jennifer Beals and James Wilder that works rather better than the chill content, especially in the first half of the film. All the performances here are good, but the script is shaky rather than shivery, and drifts into a routine haunt hunt long before the end. Music, editing and photography are all above average for a telefilm, giving the story a sound backing which it gradually fritters away.
